The Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad
The Wheeling & Lake Erie Railroad's Cleveland Subdivision is a
little single-track line that runs through my home town of Bedford, Ohio. This
little track has always attracted me. In the face of the big trains that run on
Norfolk Southern's parallel Cleveland Line, W&LE runs little trains that carry scrap
metal and other miscellaneous freight through scenic, old-time-flavored sites.
